Miles' first favorite color was black, thanks to Crayola, and the heavy outlines in the panels of 'Peanuts' and 'MAD Magazine' - totally 70s. Silly and strange pictures, stories and jokes spellbound this boy. Then -
'TNMT' 'Asterix' 'The Great Brain', and 'Sherlock Holmes'
- his great ESCAPE! The world of art and words seized him by the eyes.
In the 90s the hunt for vintage children's titles and underground comics started at flea markets to pack his library, a quest that continues to this day. First edition Golden Books are a fav. More than once upon a time Miles illustrated titles cover to cover. Sentimental sequential narrative images make hearts swell, sing, sigh, share,
and sleep well side by side, perchance to dream.
