MILES tells stories & jokes with PICTURES
Miles, a 6th gen CA navy-baby, struggled with words, newspaper comics SAVED him from the frustration of illiteracy, like many. POW! Inkspots imprisoned his interest, and became his life's passion! At CalArts' School of Film, Character Animation program in 1990 he animated some filthy festival films before life in production pits in TV and movies. Miles lived and loved the paper and pencil days, in the sunset years of a 100 year old genius genre. Pictures, speak the unspeakable to all without one word.
The truth is never easy to tell, unless it's a pleasant fiction, which of course serves a purpose in this wondrous world.
ANCIENT ART OF STORY TELLING
Good stories never get old, legends grow bold when they're retold. We learn more about HOW they turn each time we tell them. Sharng a GREAT one is an ART! A GIFT! It requires a revolution of rehearsals. NO JOKE! - silly needs seasoning for good flavor. Pictures help, we can HEAR a good one, they SPEAK all languages, like music. In telling stories (and jokes) for a living with drawings and paintings Miles learned to love them, like people they are REAL THINGS. Books are our friends, and
NOW books are more fundamental to our collective wellbeing than ever before. We NEED STORIES!

SEE AND BE CHANGED
As individuals our IDEAS are what we make of them., in the same way in the end up BEING what we BELIEVE ourselves to be capable of becoming. Our thoughts commit us to a STORY until we learn to OPEN our MIND to CHANGE.
NOBODY IS BORN WITH ANSWERS!
Questions with no answers are the beginning. INFO is POWER! METAMORPHOSIS must be UNLOCKED by EXPERIENCE!
HAPPILY EVER AFTER, is not easy! As a reader who struggled and fought to comprehend one word Miles always thought,
"How could I ever be a author when it took me SO LONG
to learn to LOVE BOOKS???"
...until he realized HOW MUCH he loved them.
"If I can do it, SO CAN YOU!" is the most important story a struggling young reader in the world today can hear!

Human imaginations answer the HARDEST questions anyone can ask. We ALL need HELP to GROW no matter who we are! Miles wants to grab readers with PICTURES and WORDS to encourage CREATIVE PARTICIPATION to inspire RECREATING the IDEA of one's own SELF WORTH because thats what helped him make sense of it all in time!
